Welcome to the Ferndale Dollars for Scholars web site. Ferndale Dollars for Scholars is a locally operated and supported, non-profit, tax-exempt scholarship chapter affiliated with Citizens/Scholarships Foundation of America, Inc. Operated by an all volunteer Board of Directors, the purpose is to expand access to educational opportunities by involving and assisting our community in the support of students and in the encouragement of educational achievement.
Established in 2006, Ferndale Dollars for Scholars awarded 16 scholarships to 14 graduates worth more than $7500 in the first year. This year, the 2010-2011 school year, 85 scholarships were awarded to 51 graduates and totaled $39,200. Ultimately, Ferndale Dollars for Scholars intends to provide financial assistance to every Ferndale School District graduate that desires to continue with their education. Your contribution of $10, $100, or $1000 reflects your pride in our students and your commitment to the ongoing education of the young people of our community.
